Animation is a powerful communication tool. It can bring our products to life and help us tell meaningful stories.
At Eva, we use subtle yet effective motion style outlined in more detail below.
Type Animation
Type animation helps us communicate to our customers in a way that’s eye-catching and
engaging. Be careful not to over complicate this — subtle and simple is key. See below for
examples of type animation commonly used at Eva.
Overshot (Text Delay)
Use text delay for main messaging in any video content. Text delay could be by character, word or line.
Easy In-out
Mainly used for sub copy, can be also combined with text delay above.
Hand-drawn Text
Hand-drawn text adds charm and character to a video. This can be used for sub text, people’s name, or even
as a highlighter. It is often used with path animation.
Image Transition
Commonly used to showcase our products quickly (e.g., a 10 second ad). Avoid complicated or
over-the-top image transitions — it always comes back to being subtle and simple.
The two transitions we use the most are slide and dynamic.
Slide Transition
Mainly used for social media content, when you need to showcase multiple images.
Dynamic Transition
Mainly used for YouTube ads, in between frames.
Animated Icons
Our hand-drawn icons are mostly used for showing product USPs, but can be used in infographics
or anywhere they may help the customer understand a process or feature.

Loop Animation
Often used for website product pages and EDMs. Think of these as static icons with a twist.
End Frame
We end every video with our motto ‘Pretty Simple Living’ — no matter what!
Always use Eva Green for the end frame, but sometimes you can use a transparent end frame if
the video is extremely short.
