It’s been busy.

With three Good Design Awards in four years, an internationally recognised Red Dot Award, and numerous features across prestigious design publications, the last six years of Eva has flown by! So get cosy and grab yourself a hot cuppa – we’re doing a stroll down memory lane.

Starting with the mattress that launched it all — Comfort Classic mattress (formerly known as the Eva Mattress), we scooped up our first award as the Best Mattress in a Box for 2017/2018. Within six months, we hired our first employee and it was off to the races.

Within two years, we expanded our product range to include luscious sheets, an adjustable memory foam pillow and our Eva Timber Bed Frame. After the success of our bedroom range, we realised that you wanted more. So we took a pause to buckle down, listen to your feedback and invest in some serious product development.

Many long years of prototypes later, we were able to finally launch our first living room range. You met our All Day Sofa, Hideaway Table range and the Everyday Sofa! And for those who love spending time in their dining room, we also released our first Kin Dining Range to help you complete your full Eva home.

That’s not all. 

In September this year, we were then honoured by the Good Design Awards 2023 with our Premium Adapt Mattress and our Slideaway Sofa Bed officially joining the ranks of prestigious design in Australia.⁠

In reflecting how we’ve reached this point (with office doggos and excellent humans along the way), it’s because we’ve always kept thoughtful design at the core of everything we do. 

Thoughtful to us means that a decision process doesn’t just stop with ‘good enough’. It means we put ourselves in your shoes, and think about your needs, from function to form and style. And then taking it a step further. Like the coasters made from timber offcuts in our Hideaway Tables, to removable and machine washable covers in our Everyday Sofa, and the clever device holders in our Timber Bed Frame. This is what Thoughtful means to Eva. And our Thoughtful approach is what has most recently earned us Gold for our Slideaway Sofa Bed (only four others in the Product Design category to achieve such an acknowledgment). 

As we celebrate our six year anniversary, we want to thank you for believing in our journey so far. It’s only just the beginning but we can’t wait to build more thoughtfulness into your everyday, so that more people can feel at home with Eva. We’ll see you again soon!
