Opening Weekend at Richmond House

Richmond House is open, and on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 September we're celebrating with good coffee, great matcha, an open door and enough going on across the weekend that there's no wrong time to drop by.

Across two days, discover practical advice for refreshing your space, hands-on workshops for plant lovers and creative minds, plus a special Father’s Day weekend workshop with something extra for the dads.

Whether you’re looking for ideas for your home, wanting to learn something new or simply coming by to explore the space, there’s something waiting for you at Richmond House.

Some experiences are complimentary, while others are paid workshops with limited places available. Explore the full program and reserve your spot where required.

Coffee, matcha and something sweet
Throughout opening weekend, we’ll be serving coffee by Coffee Supreme, matcha by Slow Article and a selection of cookies from Dua Bakehouse. Stop by, settle into the space and enjoy a moment before exploring Richmond House.

Coffee Supreme
For more than three decades, Coffee Supreme has been focused on sourcing, roasting and serving coffee with care. Starting with Reds Cafe in Wellington in 1993, Coffee Supreme has been part of the early specialty coffee movement in New Zealand and Australia.Today, their coffees are enjoyed across cafés, restaurants and homes throughout New Zealand, Australia and Japan. Their belief is simple: great coffee is about more than what’s in the cup. It’s about connection, creativity and the everyday moments shared around it.

Slow Article Matcha
Slow Article brings a different kind of ritual to the weekend with their ceremonial Japanese matcha. Rooted in the traditions of Japanese tea practice, Slow Article exists to inspire a slower way of living through intentional moments of calm, presence and connection.Slow Article celebrates the beauty of everyday rituals and the quiet moments that help us reconnect with ourselves and our surroundings.
