Marissa Leppala is a reminder that style only gets cooler with age. Her fashion is expressive and playful, but it never feels like she’s dressing for anyone else’s approval. She dresses for the mood she wants to carry. The version of herself she wants to show up as.
And that same energy shows up in the way she thinks about home. Comfort matters. Ease matters. Pieces should adapt to you, not the other way around.
We chatted to Marissa about personal style, confidence, trends, and why the Eclipse felt like the right fit for her home.
What helps you feel most at home in what you wear?
When I wear something that instantly feels like a pick-me-up. Feeling “at home” in my outfit is important to me because it sets the tone for my day - how I show up and how confident I feel.
What clothing item always makes you feel confident?
A statement pair of sunglasses. The right pair can take an outfit from good to wow with the simplest switch. I have to admit, I have an obsession which is bordering on an addiction.
How do you stay true to your own style with so many trends?
I think trends often get a bad rap, and understandably so given how quickly they move these days and the waste they can create. I only incorporate trends into my wardrobe when they genuinely align with my personal style and I know I’ll keep wearing them long after the hype has died down.
What feeling do you hope people get from your fashion?
I hope my fashion encourages people to dress for themselves regardless of what they think society expects of them. Fashion can sometimes feel intimidating, but I hope my content shows that it can be fun, accessible, and not taken too seriously.
You have the Eclipse Sofa in your space — what was it that felt like the right fit for your home?
Comfortable, effortless, and adaptable are the words that come to mind. It captures everything I love about fashion, in sofa form!
Marissa’s approach to fashion is a reminder we love coming back to. The best style isn’t about getting it “right.” It’s about choosing what makes you feel good, and wearing it like you mean it.
And the best homes are the same.
Comfortable. Effortless. Adaptable. Designed for the way you actually live.
