At Eva, we believe home is where real stories unfold. The ones made of noise and quiet, movement and pause. For Boden, our Marketing Manager, those stories usually start somewhere between a busy day and a deep breath.
His home is full of the kind of chaos that only kids can create. “I’m a neat freak,” he says, “so I have to remind myself daily that the craziness of toys everywhere is temporary, and one day I’ll miss it.”
You can picture it. A Barbie sitting halfway down the stairs. The faint sound of a basketball bouncing in the living room. Boden laughed at the mess he once would have tidied in a heartbeat. “It’s full of life,” he says. “A little mid-century modern, a little eclectic, but mostly just us.”

As a dad and a creative, Boden’s life moves fast. Home is where it slows down, even if just for a few minutes. “Home is where I can be myself and escape the fast-paced nature of the world,” he says. “It’s not always peaceful with the kids, but it’s where I find little pockets of calm to recharge.” That calm often looks like a coffee in hand, a record spinning quietly, and the soft sink of the Eclipse Sofa beneath him.
When it comes to what fills his home, Boden keeps it simple. If it doesn’t bring joy, it doesn’t stay. “If you can have a lamp that inspires you, why settle for one that doesn’t?” he says. He’s drawn to things with meaning, like the vintage magazines he hunts down on Facebook Marketplace. They get clipped, collaged, and turned into little works of art with his kids. “They’re time stamps of another era,” he says. “And when they’re fifty cents each, you feel like you can do whatever you want with them.”
After long days of work and parenting, Boden knows the quiet reward that comes after the chaos. “Every parent knows that feeling,” he says. “You get the kids to bed, sit down, and finally take a breath. That’s an elite feeling, and it hits even harder on the Eclipse.” The sofa has become his reminder to slow down, a dedicated space to recharge before life starts again in the morning.
For Boden, home isn’t perfect, but it’s personal. It’s where the mess meets meaning, where noise meets calm, and where every day ends the same way — with a deep breath, a quiet moment, and a sofa built for both.
And maybe that’s the quiet reminder for all of us. Home doesn’t need to look perfect to feel good. It just needs to hold space for who you are, and who you’re becoming.
