Which green to pick

Choosing the right green comes down to the shade and how it works with your space and natural light.

Pistachio is a pale, subtle green with a slight minty hue. Moss Green sits in the middle, with a hint of grey-blue, while Olive is darker with a warm brown undertone. Forest is a classic deep green, woven with black and caramel yarns that give the colour added depth.

Pistachio, Moss Green and Olive are available on the Everyday Sofa and Slideaway Sofa Bed. Forest is exclusive to the Eclipse Sofa, which features a distinctive bouclé and chenille tri-weave fabric.

What goes well with a green sofa

A green sofa gives you plenty of room to play with furniture and décor. Olive works beautifully with cream walls, raw timber furniture, woven textures and clay-toned accessories. Moss Green suits cooler schemes with grey walls, ash timber and black accents, while Forest benefits from a light rug or pale furniture to balance its deeper tone.

Bring in rust, cream or dusty pink through cushions, throws and artwork for an easy colour lift. There’s no one way to style a green sofa, so let your existing space and personal taste guide you.

Living with a green sofa

Green is fairly forgiving day to day, although darker shades like Forest can show dust more easily. A gentle vacuum with an upholstery head every week or two is usually enough to keep it looking fresh.

Direct sunlight is the bigger concern. If your sofa sits near a west-facing window, a sheer curtain can help reduce fading. Moss Green may also be a better choice than Forest for sunnier spots.

And when life gets messy, the covers come off. Everyday and Slideaway covers can be machine washed at up to 30°C, while Eclipse covers can be washed at 40°C and tumble dried. The frame comes with a five-year structural warranty, while the covers come with a two-year warranty, so you can replace a worn cover rather than the whole sofa.

Meet the green collection

From modular configurations to a multifunctional sofa bed, Eva has different options to suit your space. The examples below are just a starting point.

1. Everyday Sofa in Olive

Everyday Sofa in Olive

The modular one. Start at a 2.5 seater at 190cm by 95cm and build out to a 6 seater L-shape at 280cm by 280cm, with more than 100 configurations in between. Low arms give it a lounged look, high arms square it off.

2. Slideaway Sofa Bed in Pistachio

Slideaway Sofa Bed in Pistachio

The one that sleeps two. At 188cm wide as a sofa, it slides out to a 153cm-deep bed using Eva's trademarked mechanism. Pistachio is the lightest green in the range, with a soft, fresh tone that pairs easily with warm whites, natural timber and neutral furnishings.

3. Eclipse Sofa in Forest

Eclipse Sofa in Forest

The soft one. RDS-certified feather inserts wrap around high-resilience foam cores, creating a plush, sink-in feel. The thick, high-quality tri-weave combines bouclé and chenille, giving the fabric a substantial feel and added depth. Forest is Eva's deepest green, bringing a rich, dramatic feel to the room.

FAQs about green sofas

What green sofa colours does Eva offer?

Eva offers four shades of green: Olive, Moss Green, Pistachio and Forest.

Olive is the darkest, with a warm brown undertone.
Moss Green is a mid-tone green with a hint of grey-blue.
Pistachio is a pale, subtle green with a slight minty hue.
Forest is a classic green woven with black and caramel yarns, giving the colour added depth.

What is the difference between Olive, Moss Green and Pistachio?

Olive is the warmest, with a brown undertone. Moss Green is cooler and greyer. Pistachio is the palest, closest to a yellow-green. Side by side they read as three colours, not three versions of one.

Which green suits a dark room?

Moss Green is the best choice for a dark room. Its mid-tone colour and subtle grey-blue undertone work well in low light, giving the room enough colour without feeling too heavy or muddy. It can also shift nicely throughout the day as the natural light changes.

If your main goal is to make the room feel brighter, Pistachio is another option. Its pale, minty colour reflects more light and can help create a lighter feel. In a very dark room, though, it may read slightly cooler or more washed out.

Do you make a green sofa bed?

Yes. The Slideaway Sofa Bed comes in Olive, Moss Green and Pistachio, and moves between sofa, daybed and double bed.

Can I get a green modular sofa in an L-shape?

Yes. Because Eva’s Everyday and Eclipse sofas are modular, allowing you to build them into different configurations and sizes to suit your space. The listed configurations are a starting point, but you can customise your setup to create the size and shape that works best for your room.

Can I mix green with another colour?

Absolutely. Use cushions, throws and other accessories to bring in different colours around your green sofa. There’s no set formula for styling it, what works best will depend on your space and personal style.

Are green sofa covers machine washable?

Yes, every green sofa produced by Eva comes with machine-washable covers. Everyday Sofa and Slideaway Sofa Bed covers can be washed at a maximum of 30°C, while Eclipse Sofa covers can be washed at up to 40°C.
