Care Instructions

Our fabric is hardwearing and easy to clean, a simple vacuuming to remove dust and dirt on a regular basis will help keep it looking clean. If a more thorough clean is needed, simply unzip the covers and remove the inserts to wash the covers. Wash your covers at a maximum of 30 degrees celsius and do not tumble dry. Full washing instructions can be found on the cover care label.

Steer clear from any harsh cleaning products and wipe up spills quickly with an absorbent cloth or paper towel.

As with any piece of furniture, extended exposure in direct sunlight may cause discolouration to the fabric and the timber over time.

Meet the Re/Treat Sofa

Inspired by our award-winning Slideaway Sofa Bed, we built a world-first upcycled sofa with our friends from Casetify. Using 16,000 phone cases, we shredded, melted, assembled and tiled the piece together.

The Re/Treat name is a playful reconstruction of "retreat" which denotes a place of relaxation and comfort whilst also entertaining the "re-treatment" referencing the taking of old materials and giving them a new purpose.

This experience mirrors both Eva and Casetify's commitment to sustainability and design, and combining the two brands together in an artistically curated experience.

How will my sofa bed arrive?

Your sofabed will come in the following four boxes (dimensions are in mm):

  • Back and arms: 2040mm (l) x 860mm (w) x 230mm (h) - 31kg 
  • Base:  (1960mm (l) x 990mm (w) x 110mm (h) - 43kg
  • Cushions: 900mm (l) x 490mm x (w) x 490 (h) - 30kg
  • Covers: 560mm (l) x 340mm x 160mm (h) - 5kg

Please note, the covers will come separately to the pillow inserts, so you’ll need to put the covers on when the sofa bed arrives. To help with this, we have prepared an assembly instruction video.

How much weight can the Slideaway Sofa Bed withstand?

The Slideaway Sofa Bed has been designed to be lightweight but incredibly strong & durable.

Your sofa bed weighs approximately 105kg in total & can withstand up to 300kg in weight.

How long will my sofa bed cushions take to expand?

All of the cushions on your Slideaway Sofa Bed have been compressed. Once opened the cushions can take up to 48 hours to completely recover. We suggest plumping up the side and the back cushions by hand for a quicker recovery time.

What is the Slideaway Sofa Bed made of?

The Slideaway Sofa has a frame built from a combination of sustainably sourced solid American Ash timber and plywood with veneer to ensure it will be with you for years to come. All timber on the product is finished with a Natural Low VOC oil. 

The seat cushions are made from multilayered foams to achieve the optimal level of comfort and support, wrapped in a plush memory foam duvet wrap. The cushions are made from a mixture of recycled memory foam and polyester fibre. Loose cushions on the sofa bed are filled with recycled memory foam and fibre fill.

Our covers are made from a 100% polyester fabric which is durable yet soft and inviting.

  • Frame: A combination of solid American Ash timber and plywood with American Ash veneer.

  • Main fabric: 100% recycled polyester

    As gorgeous and functional as advertised

    Beautifully designed, hardy fabric, love the colour and function. Delivery was quick and helpful, and it was pretty easy to set up. Cushions are firm but it’s great for movie night when slid out to what we’re calling ‘double chase mode’.

    Just what we needed!

    The slide away sofa is our spare bed for when family come home and a lounge for a study. Great for an afternoon snooze too.

    The colour is gorgeous in our dark blue room.

    Groovy grooves quick sliding away

    Staff so helpful and patient with me. I have arthritis and was having trouble opening the sofa bed. I phoned the cdd ask centre and a real person advised that rubbing bees wax along the rails makes the wood makes it slide open and shut more easily. Taking the cushions off made a difference so I think I am a bit low on common sense.

    Slide Inside

    The EVA Slideaway has been a "sanity saver" after having to downsize after a fire and relocation late last year. Having a dual purpose lounge has allowed family and friends to visit in my one bedroom apartment. Stylish and comfortable as a lounge and bed - a rare comodity that reflects great design and build quality. The self assembly was simple and the video guide easy to follow. I also purchased the EVA Bed Platform and am totally happy with both purchases. I highly recommend the product, delivery and service.
